What is botulinum toxin?

It is an injectable that helps soften the appearance of expression lines (glabella, forehead, around the eyes) by temporarily relaxing the muscle that creases them. It does not fill or add volume: that is a different treatment.

Botox® is a registered trademark; the generic name of the treatment is botulinum toxin. At MOSS we work with five active brands (Botox®, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify and Letybo) and which one is used in your case is decided by the practitioner on clinical grounds, not from a price list. Neither our agents nor this site recommend a brand.

Who is it for?

For adults who want to soften expression lines while keeping a natural result, without a stiff-looking face. It is what our clients mention most in their Google reviews.

It requires an evaluation. A prior consultation, free and about 15 minutes long, determines whether the treatment is right for you, which areas make sense to treat and how many units would be needed. If you have a health condition, take any medication, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, mention it: the practitioner assesses each case, never a chat.

What is the appointment like, step by step?

The application takes about 15 minutes. Beforehand, the areas are reviewed with you and the unit plan is defined.

Topical numbing is optional: your call. If you want it, add about 10 minutes of waiting to the visit.

After the application, a follow-up appointment is booked to review how your case responded. And one piece of clinical judgment worth knowing: between one application and the next it is best to allow at least 4 months. We do not rebook sooner than that without an evaluation first.

A $50 deposit is required to hold appointments over $100, and it goes toward your service. The change policy is 48 hours.

How much does Botox® cost in Doral?

$9.99 per unit: botulinum toxin is priced per unit, not per session and not per area. That means there is no total price we can publish in advance: two people with the same concern may need very different amounts, from very few units to around two hundred.

How many you need is determined at your evaluation, which is free and takes about 15 minutes. That is where you get a concrete estimate for your case, before you decide anything. Pricing per unit is also what prevents more units being used than needed just to reach a round number.

We work with CareCredit, Cherry, Afterpay and Affirm if you'd rather pay in installments.

Maryge Olaves, APRN and master injector at MOSS Medical Spa

Who applies the botulinum toxin?

It is applied by Maryge Olaves, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner), board certified in aesthetics by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine and a master injector, with 8 years devoted to aesthetics. With injectables we do not delegate: she evaluates and she applies. That clinical training is why judgment comes before the catalog: there are cases where the answer from the evaluation is that this treatment is not the right one.

Meet Maryge

Medical supervision and safety

Who evaluates your case, and how is your safety looked after?

Your case is evaluated by Maryge Olaves, APRN (Nurse Practitioner), before anything is applied, and she is the one who performs the treatment.

Every injectable starts with an evaluation

Botulinum toxin and fillers require an evaluation before application, which can take place at the same appointment. For collagen biostimulators, PRP and lipolytic enzymes the evaluation consultation is required and comes before the procedure is booked.

A Nurse Practitioner evaluates you

The evaluation for injectables is done by Maryge Olaves, APRN. She defines the area, the product and the amount. Nobody recommends them to you over chat or from a photo. For botulinum toxin and fillers there is also a virtual evaluation with her.

Health, medication, pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take any medication or have a health condition, the professional reviews that individually at your evaluation. We do not give a yes or a no by message, and this page does not replace that consultation either.

If it is not right for you, we tell you

Maryge speaks plainly: if a treatment is not right for you, she tells you and explains why. And if what you are looking for falls outside her scope of practice, she refers you to a surgeon.

Rest between applications

A minimum rest of 4 months is left between one botulinum toxin application and the next. At your appointment Maryge guides you on the right timing for you.

Frequently asked questions

Where in Doral can I get Botox®?

At MOSS Medical Spa by Maryge Olaves: 8180 NW 36th St, Suite 215, Doral, FL 33166, on the second floor, with an elevator and free parking in the building. Botulinum toxin is administered by Maryge Olaves, APRN and master injector, after a free evaluation of about 15 minutes that defines areas and units. We are open Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM, by appointment via WhatsApp at (786) 608-3111.

How much does Botox® cost in Doral?

$9.99 per unit. There is no fixed total because the number of units depends on your case: that is determined at your evaluation, which is free and takes about 15 minutes.

How long does a Botox® appointment take?

About 15 minutes of application. If you choose topical numbing, which is optional, add about 10 minutes of waiting. Before anything is applied, the areas are reviewed with you and the unit plan is defined.

How long does it last?

We don't publish a fixed timeframe: how long it lasts depends on the person and on lifestyle. At your follow-up appointment we review how your case responded and the practitioner advises on what to expect. What is fixed is the gap between one application and the next: 4 months at minimum.

Can I have it every two months?

No. A minimum gap of 4 months is left between one application and the next, and we do not rebook sooner than that without an evaluation first.

Which brand do you use?

Five brands: Botox®, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify and Letybo. Which one is used in your case is decided by the practitioner at your evaluation on clinical grounds; we do not recommend a brand by chat or on this site.

Will my face look frozen?

The house approach is a natural result, and it is exactly what our clients highlight most in their reviews. At your evaluation a unit plan is defined with that in mind, and the follow-up appointment reviews how your case responded.
