What are collagen biostimulators?
Collagen biostimulators, such as Sculptra® and Radiesse®, are injectables that, rather than filling a space on the spot, help your own skin produce more collagen. That is why the change is progressive: the aim is to improve skin quality, firmness and support little by little, not visible volume as you leave the appointment.
At MOSS there are two options. Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite injectable that provides support and stimulates collagen production, and it can be used on the face or the body. Sculptra® is a poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator for the face, with a progressive, natural change. Which one fits your case, and in which areas, is decided by the practitioner at your evaluation.
Who is it for?
For adults who prefer a gradual change in skin firmness and quality over immediate volume, and who value a result that looks like their own rather than like a procedure.
With biostimulators the prior evaluation is required. They have their own consultation, free, about 15 minutes long and in person, where Maryge reviews your skin, your expectations and whether the treatment is right for you. If you have a health condition, take any medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, mention it: the assessment is always individual.
What is the appointment like, step by step?
Unlike fillers, biostimulators do not involve topical numbing: the application starts straight away, with no waiting time, and the appointment takes about 30 minutes.
Before applying, the areas and the amount of product are reviewed with you. That step also sets the price: the amount grows with how much product is placed, which is why it is always published as a starting point and never as a total.
How many sessions are needed and how they are spaced is decided at your evaluation, based on your case.
A $50 deposit is required to hold appointments over $100, and it goes toward your service. You can move or cancel with at least 48 hours' notice; inside that window the deposit is non-refundable.

Who applies the biostimulators?
They are applied by Maryge Olaves, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner), board certified in aesthetics by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine and a master injector, with 8 years devoted to aesthetics. A biostimulator works gradually, so clinical judgment matters more than the application itself: choosing the product, the area and the amount. That is why the consultation is required, and why, if the treatment isn't right for you, the evaluation tells you so.

Your case is evaluated by Maryge Olaves, APRN (Nurse Practitioner), before anything is applied, and she is the one who performs the treatment.
Every injectable starts with an evaluation
Botulinum toxin and fillers require an evaluation before application, which can take place at the same appointment. For collagen biostimulators, PRP and lipolytic enzymes the evaluation consultation is required and comes before the procedure is booked.
A Nurse Practitioner evaluates you
The evaluation for injectables is done by Maryge Olaves, APRN. She defines the area, the product and the amount. Nobody recommends them to you over chat or from a photo. For botulinum toxin and fillers there is also a virtual evaluation with her.

What is the difference between a biostimulator and a filler?
Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume where it is placed. A biostimulator helps the skin produce its own collagen, with a progressive change in firmness and quality. The appointment differs too: fillers involve numbing and biostimulators do not.
Radiesse® or Sculptra®?
They are different products (calcium hydroxylapatite and poly-L-lactic acid), and which one suits you is decided by the practitioner at your evaluation, based on your skin, the area and your goal. We do not recommend a product by chat or on this site.
How many sessions are needed?
