How to fix or refresh microblading done at another studio
Yes, at MOSS Medical Spa (Doral, FL) we work on microblading done at another studio, but it always starts with a free evaluation. We review how much pigment is left, what tone it turned and what shape it has, and decide whether a touch-up, a correction or prior pigment lightening is the right step. Results vary from case to case.
Can microblading done at another studio be fixed?
Yes, after an evaluation. At MOSS we take on brow work done elsewhere, but a correction is never booked blind: the real state of the pigment and the skin has to be seen first.
The evaluation settles two things: whether the work can be improved and which route to take. If what you want is not workable over what you already have, we tell you plainly before doing anything.
What is reviewed at the evaluation?
Three things are reviewed: how much pigment is left, what tone it turned over time and what shape the design has. The skin in the area is looked at too.
The evaluation is free and takes about 15 minutes. If you know when the original work was done, say so: it helps to understand how the pigment has evolved.
If you have a health condition, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, mention it there: the practitioner assesses each case individually.
What is the difference between a touch-up, a correction and pigment lightening?
They are three different routes depending on the state of the previous work. A touch-up refreshes the color and redefines the design you already have. A correction works on the shape, the symmetry or an uneven tone. Pigment lightening fades the pigment that is already there, and can be the step before new work.
You do not choose among them ahead of time: which one applies, or in what order, is decided by the practitioner after seeing your brows.
| Route | What it aims for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Touch-up | Refresh the color and redefine the design | By time since the last session: $120 to $280 for brows |
| Microblading correction | Correct the shape, symmetry or uneven tone of the previous work | No published price: it depends on the previous work to cover |
| Pigment lightening | Fade the previous pigment to correct tone or shape | From $120 per session |
Which touch-up tier applies to work from another studio is also decided at the evaluation, based on the real state of the pigment and not only on the date.
What is pigment lightening?
Pigment lightening is a procedure that helps fade previous semi-permanent makeup, on brows or lips, to correct its tone or shape. Sometimes it is the step before new work on the same area.
It starts at $120 per session. On the calendar it takes a short slot, about 15 minutes, plus about 15 minutes of numbing. Whether you are a candidate and how many sessions it would take is decided at the evaluation; results vary.
How much does it cost to fix microblading?
A correction has no published price, because it depends on the previous work that has to be covered. The team confirms the amount after the evaluation, which is free, and before booking the session.
What does have a published price is the brow touch-up, which goes by the time since the last session: from $120 for the 45-day touch-up to $280 once more than two years have passed. That is the reference if your case turns out to be a touch-up rather than a correction.
Pigment lightening starts at $120 per session; how many sessions it would take is decided at the evaluation, so there is no total to publish either.
Who performs the correction at MOSS Medical Spa?
It is performed by the MOSS team of PMU artists, trained by Maryge Olaves, APRN and Master in Micropigmentation, creator of the Envy Brows technique.
Working over existing pigment means reading how the skin healed and how the color shifted: that is why it is always reviewed before anything is touched, and the design is adjusted with you.

Frequently asked questions
Can I book the correction directly, without an evaluation?
No. When the work is from another studio, the evaluation is essential: it is free, and it determines whether a touch-up, a correction or prior pigment lightening is the right step.
Does pigment lightening take the pigment out completely?
Pigment lightening helps fade the previous pigment. How much it fades and how many sessions it takes varies from person to person and is decided at the evaluation; we do not promise a result.
Do you also correct lip micropigmentation done elsewhere?
Yes, also after an evaluation. A lip correction aims to even out the tone and refine the contour of previous work; whether it is viable and how many sessions it takes is decided at the evaluation, and it has no published price either.
What if I had my microblading done at MOSS?
For work done at MOSS there are the touch-ups, priced by the time since your last session: from $120. The practitioner first reviews how your pigment has evolved.
